SOEL's passion for music first began at an early age, thanks to his father who collected cassette tapes and vinyl records by artists like Ry Cooder, Robert Johnson, and Jacques Brel. It was at the age of 14, after watching the film "Memoirs of a Geisha" and hearing its soundtrack by John Williams, that he knew a career in music would be his calling.
Over the course of more than 10 years in music production and DJing, SOEL's inspiration has come from his Arabic roots, Hollywood music composers, and various genres of music, but most of all, the world around him.
A lifelong traveler, fashion and art enthusiast, SOEL's musical evolution, multicultural experiences, and individualism are organically reflected in his music.
He began composing music during adolescence, and within one year, his productions were used by fashion designers during their seasonal shows and supported and played by some of the biggest DJs in the world, including Solomun, Tale of Us, Dixon, Âme, Adriatique, Konstantin (Giegling), Rødhåd, Chris Liebing, Stephan Bodzin, Ellen Allien, Carl Cox, and countless more.
SOEL has released twice on Afterlife Records, the label of Tale of Us and one of the largest electronic labels in the world, as well as a sold-out vinyl EP on Recondite's label, Plangent Records, and Adriatique's label, Siamese.
In February 2020, SOEL made his live-act debut at the CityFox LIVE Festival in NYC, playing for more than 5,000 fans.
Throughout the past decade, SOEL has refined his unique sound, which includes a mix of deeply emotional ambient and atmospheric techno sounds, blended with dark synths and cinematic soundscapes.
In 2020, SOEL opened his own electronic label, ORACOLO Records, which focuses on dark, atmospheric techno and cinematic ambient. A label where musical concepts and aesthetic boundaries are seen as a way to unify, not separate. The label's most recent release, "Tellurian," featured electronic music icons such as Recondite, VRIL, Dorisburg, and Luigi Tozzi.
